    Achieve - Dual Enrollment

    Achieve Dual Enrollment
is a program for current high school juniors and seniors who attend school and/or live in Orleans Parish to earn college credit. Students eligible for Achieve will be first generation college students and/or are from low-income backgrounds. Students attend class in-person on Xavier's campus and learn from Xavier faculty in Xavier classrooms, supported by Xavier undergraduate student mentors. Students receive academic advising and college preparation workshops from Xavier staff.

Achieve is offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Eligible students must go to school and/or live in Orleans Parish and meet criteria for demonstrated financial need.

Students interested in participating must first contact their high school counselor to indicate interest in taking college courses with XULA Achieve and discuss eligibility requirements. Counselors or principals must confirm student eligibility prior to enrollment in the program. Eligible students must complete an application for admission and provide supporting documentation as outlined by the Office of Admissions. After a student’s application is processed and accepted by the university, students can enroll in college courses according to the schedule agreed by their high school and XULA Achieve.
